Tenders are invited from construction entities only. The designers for the work have been procured separately by Infrastructure NSW and will be novated to the successful Main Works Contractor.
The scope for the Main Works includes, but is not limited to:
- New museum entrance and public domain oriented towards the Goods Line and the City;
- Revitalisation works to heritage listed buildings;
- Removal of internal mezzanines and renewal of existing exhibition spaces;
- Introducing new green spaces (internal courtyard, public domain, switch house rooftop terrace, creative courtyard);
- Activating Harris St with a new building housing program spaces and creative industry studios; and
- New below ground loading dock and back of house space with entrance from MacArthur St.
Infrastructure NSW is inviting Recipients from the pre-qualified contractors under the SCM100002-Procurement List for Construction Services valued over $9 million to undertake the Main Works for the revitalisation of Powerhouse Ultimo. The Main Works will be delivered under a Design and Construct contract.
